A Pinto Basto surge em Portugal no ano de 1771 quando Domingos Pinto Basto, um comerciante do Porto, se associa aos seus dois filhos e funda uma importadora e exportadora sediada naquela cidade, que gozou de uma excelente receptividade.

As operações comerciais cresceram de uma forma significativa e, rapidamente a empresa conquistou um lugar de destaque na vida económica e empresarial da época.

Na primeira metade do Século XIX, a Pinto Basto estabelece-se na capital. O protagonismo conquistado foi tal que conduziu à eleição da Pinto basto para presidir à prestigiada Associação Comercial de Lisboa.

Com um percurso histórico de mais de dois séculos, o seu pioneirismo, experiência e profissionalismo contribuíram para tornar a Pinto Basto numa referência no sector da actividade transportadora.

A Pinto Basto pretende agora colocar toda a sua experiência e profissionalismo ao dispor de Angola, onde abriu recentemente escritórios. Contribuirá assim para o progresso e desenvolvimento deste país, que apresenta o maior potencial de crescimento de toda a África Ocidental.

The Pinto basto company was set up in Portugal in the year of 1771 when Domingos Pinto Basto, a merchant from the city of Oporto, associated with his two sons and founded an import and export form with its seat on that same city, a firm that conducted a thriving business .

Commercial operations grew significantly and it didn´t take to long for the company to acquire an important role to the economic and entrepreneurial life back then.

In the first half of the XIX century, Pinto Basto sets up in the capital. The leading role it assumed was such that Pinto Basto was eventually elected to act as president of the prestigious Lisbon Association of Commerce.

With an historical background of more than two centuries, Pinto Basto´s pioneer spirit, experience and professionalism have contributed to making it become a reference organization in the sector of freitgh transportation.
